Closing Date: Wednesday 2nd December 2020 We currently have a vacancy for a Male Housing Support Worker in our Housing Support Services based in Barrhead. The service provides support to two gentlemen with learning and physical disabilities. The successful candidate must have a driving licence as both gentlemen have cars and enjoy getting out and about in them. They both have sensory needs; one enjoys the wind blowing in his face and hair, whilst the other is a fan of 1-1 activities, particularly in the garden, and other wide-open spaces. The successful candidate will ensure the continued health and well-being of the gentlemen by responding to their healthcare needs. This includes personal care and administering medication. Good attributes to have are; patience, enthusiasm, compassion and motivation. You will need to be a team player, ready to help improve the lives of those we support. The successful candidate will deliver person-centred support, in accordance with each individuals’ outcome-based support plan. The successful candidate must possess or be willing to work towards a suitable qualification for a post at this level, in line with the SSSC Regulatory Requirements.
