Stravaig Project – Partick, GlasgowTeam Leader 38 Hours per week I £18,868 - £21,364 per annum I Job Reference: REQ00088 Closing Date: Thursday 28th January 2021 Our Stravaig Project based in the Partick area of Glasgow, provides direct access to supported accommodation, giving a safe environment for young vulnerable homeless people who have various levels of support needs and who may be experiencing or at risk of homelessness and may be excluded from other services. We are looking to recruit a Team Leader to join our dynamic team who is motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to effectively ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate and high-quality care and support. As a Team Leader, you will be managing, supporting and guiding a team of Support Workers who strive to deliver quality care whilst making a difference to all our young people. As well as leading your team, you will also be responsible for actively safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the young people in their home. As the Team Leader your responsibilities will include ensuring the Young People receive high quality of care. You will support the manager with effectively managing rotas and supervisions for your team, oversee training and development of the team, providing informal practical and emotional support to colleagues in addition to developing and maintaining key relationships with the young people, staff and all professional agencies.The successful candidate will have experience of working in Homelessness and/or working with young people. In Stravaig the young people come from very complex backgrounds from different areas of Glasgow, they can display behaviours that challenge as well as other trauma related conditions. Within this position you will find yourself working alongside other professionals such as; social workers, support workers, therapists, CPNs and GPs. You will have great ability to make a difference to the young people’s lives who you support within this position. We are looking for someone who is truly a team player, proactive, extremely resilient, and energetic; you won’t be afraid to work hard, get stuck in and take ownership by using your initiative. You should have experience of motivating and developing staff teams. Previous management/supervisory experience is desirable.
