Beacon House Project – Cranhill, Glasgow Part Time Project WorkerOur Beacon House Project based in the Cranhill area of Glasgow, provides 24-hour support to eight adults who are 18 years and over who have a learning disability. The building is purpose built to accommodate service user’s needs.The team at Beacon House thrive to ensure the people we support are involved in the community, they are connected to community links and are involved in local clubs. We also offer a variety of in-house activities which include Bingo, Arts & Crafts, Sewing Groups & Exercise Classes.We are looking to recruit a Part Time Project Worker (days) to join our team, who is motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to effectively ensure that they deliver, safe, compassionate and high-quality support to the individuals who use the service.Part of your role will be to support individuals to manage their personal care and health needs including; bathing, dressing, grooming, eating / drinking, and assisting with continence care.You will have responsibility for managing, ordering, administering and supporting individuals to take medication when appropriate. You will assist and accompany individuals to access a range of leisure, vocational activities and appointments. You will offer support to individuals to manage their finances.Qualifications are not essential. We offer excellent support, training and a salary of £9.50 per hour.The successful candidate, if unqualified, must be willing to work towards a suitable qualification for a post at this level, in line with the SSSC Regulatory Requirements.If you are looking for a new challenge, this may be the position for you.We value our staff very highly.
