As and When Required Basis
We are currently looking to increase our number of Relief Workers to join our organisation on an as and when required basis, to cover various shifts throughout our services above.
Our services are divided into the different categories, please see below:
Learning and Physical Disability
Elderly
and Dementia Care
Homelessness
Mental Health
Recovery
You will be responsible for key working with identified individuals receiving support and devising care/support packages, which are person centred and specific to the individual’s needs and wishes. This includes:
Delivering high quality care and support to individuals.
Ensuring the safety of all individuals requiring support, including staff, volunteers and visitors to the service.
Positively representing The Mungo Foundation, its services and values both internally and externally.
You will work as an integral part of the team, providing excellent standards of support and care with a focus on supporting individuals to meet their outcomes.
Part of your role will be to empower the individuals we support to make informed decisions and promote independence in all aspects of their daily life. You will also promote cultural, emotional and physical well-being and general health and assist and accompany individuals to various leisure, vocational activities and appointments. Part of your role may also involve assisting individuals with budgeting and offer support to manage their finances and administering or assisting with medication.
Qualifications or experience are not essential. We offer excellent support, training and a starting salary of £10.02 per hour.
If successful and unqualified, you must be willing to work towards a suitable qualification for a post at this level, in line with the SSSC Regulatory Requirements.
