Our Bankhall Court Project provides 24-hour care for 17 Adults aged 60 years and over within a Specialised Dementia Residential care setting. The project is based in the Govanhill
area within the Southside of Glasgow.
We are looking to recruit a Dementia Care Worker (Nights), who is motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to effectively ensure that they deliver safe, compassionate and high-quality support to the individuals who use the service.
Part of your role will be to support individuals to manage their personal care and health needs including; bathing, dressing, eating / drinking, and assisting with continence care.
You will have responsibility for managing, ordering, administering and supporting individuals to take medication when appropriate. You will assist and accompany individuals to access a range of leisure, vocational activities and appointments. You will offer support to individuals to manage their finances.
Shift work is part of the role and is essential to the provision of flexible, needs led support.
Qualifications or experience are not essential. We offer excellent support, training and a starting salary of £9.30 per hour.
The successful candidate, if unqualified, must be willing to work towards a suitable qualification for a post at this level, in line with the SSSC Regulatory Requirements.
