The South Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Recovery Hub offers a range of person-centred interventions and supports for individuals and families experiencing Drug or Alcohol related issues. The Hub has moved to a prominent new location: 63 Carlton Place, on the south bank of the River Clyde.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Service Co-ordinator with strong values which are service user focused. You must have excellent communication, IT and written skills as well as a high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels. You will be able to manage your own workload and supervise a small team to ensure the service delivers a high quality, person centred service to all individuals that we support.
An in-depth understanding and knowledge of the harmful effects associated with substance misuse in relation to health, social welfare, housing, employability and relationships is essential.
In addition, an understanding/awareness of current national policies on substance misuse and the local strategies that influence the priorities of recovery services is desirable.
Knowledge and experience of Outcome Based Support Planning is preferred.
Mainly day shifts are required with some evening and weekend work as part of a rota and is essential to delivering a person-centred service.
Being a driver and having access to a car for work purposes would be advantageous.
The successful candidate (if unqualified), must be willing to work towards a suitable qualification for a post at this level, in line with the SSSC Regulatory Requirements.
