Exciting New Children and Young People’s Respite Service in North Ayrshire Roslyn House – Opening May 2021 Due to the expansion of respite provision for Children and Young People in the North Ayrshire Area, The Mungo Foundation are looking to recruit a number of staff to support our new service. Roslyn House will provide support to Children and Young People aged from 5 to 18 who have additional support needs. The state of the art, 8 bedded, purpose-built resource has been designed with the needs of the children and young people who will access the service in mind and ensures its facilities are suitable to aid the delivery of person-centred outcomes. It includes brand new technology, en-suite bedrooms, chill out areas and a spacious garden to suit the tailored needs of our children and young people. The service is located in Stevenston, with easy access for travel. The successful candidates will be responsible for co-ordinating and delivering person-centred support plans, which contributes to positive outcomes for the children and young people. Working knowledge of current legislation including GIRFEC, SHANARRI well-being outcomes and the Curriculum for Excellence is desirable and should be demonstrated through service delivery and support planning. The service operates flexibly 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, therefore flexibility with regards to working patterns is essential. Qualifications or experience are not essential. The successful candidates, if unqualified, must be willing to work towards a suitable qualification for a post at this level, in line with the SSSC Regulatory Requirements.
